v2.6 - Fast browsing, new app landing and speed graph

accsyn v2.6 brings a whole new landing page in the Desktop application, with clear notifications on incoming file deliveries and new shared folders.

With previous version, it could be hard to locate and take action on incoming file deliveries and shared folders. In addition to this, recently finished jobs are also displayed at the landing page.

Desktop app improvements with this version:

  • Sticky notification on incoming file delivery.

  • Recent shared folders, as dismissable sticky notifications.

  • Default download & upload interfaces are now simplified, keeping the FTP/Norton Commander style submitter as an advanced mode option.

  • Refurbished preference dialog.

  • Remember and resume previous login session if stil valid and from same IP.

  • Improved share browser with bookmark support, clear display of sharing information and manage of ACLs within the app (SEND mode).

Instant file browsing

Another highly asked for feature is faster browsing of remote file assets, something we have addressed by introducing caching of share directory indexes.

Speed graph

Internet file transfer speeds can fluctuate, and the best way to analyse a file transfer is using speed measurement samples over time. accsyn v2.6 sports the new speed graph, aggregating a job’s transfer sessions (retries) over its entire lifespan.

Other features of v2.6:

  • Unreal Pixel stream and FFMpeg transcde render apps.

  • Constrain employee to a single root share.

  • Search To: destination field in browser.

  • New "user_join_login_on_activate" setting, having user become logged in when they have activated their account with password. This behaviour is disabled by default.

  • Filter/regexp include & exclude filter support to API ls and getsize operations.

  • Environment variable, common and operating system dependent, support for farm render jobs.

  • Attach a message when adding an ACL / sharing folder with user.

  • 10+ major bug fixes.
