accsyn v2

After more than a year in development we are proud to announce the version 2 release of accsyn. The main goals of this release has been to bring performance, improved API documentation, higher security and a more streamlined UX experience when it comes to the desktop application.

MFA - Multi Factor Authentication

2FA can now be enabled within your accsyn workspace, providing the default method of entering a 6-digit code emailed to you, with other authentication mechanisms to be added over time.

With 2FA enabled, your account stays protected if passwords are compromised and will be the recommended default setting for administrator and employee roles.

New Python AP Documentation now on Read The Docs

Our old Python API documentation have now been deprecated and is now based on Sphinx and deployed at Read the Docs:

Streamlined user interface

With the rehauled accsyn v2 Desktop app, we have removed distractions and consolidated the user experience to make it more intuitive and easy to use.

The compute/renderfarm and publish functions have been integrated in the submit pane and been rewritten from scratch.

The job monitor and finished jobs are now paginated and have been optimised for large data sets.

Tray icon support enables app to be minimised but still running in the background, sending and receiving files.

Web delivery refined

accsyn v2 has a completely rewritten web delivery engine, enabling a one-click send and receive of single files or compressed multi file archives.

A web delivery can have an expiry date set, download count limit and password protected.

Other v2 features include:

  • Blender and Arnold compute/render farm support

  • Global enable/disable of downloads - “pull the plug”

  • No TCP delay (Nagle's algorithm) support

  • Improved cloud security, backend VPC / VM upgrade
