The new v2.7 release features on prem support which enables you to host the accsyn workspace – API backend and web frontend, on your own servers as docker images. Self hosting enables full control of the running processes and the ability to scale CPU, RAM and web delivery storage as you see fit.
Also with this new version, the desktop app network protocol has been heavily optimised requiring much less bandwidth.
This brings faster UI updates and a smoother user experience to the table.
Desktop app improvements with this version:
- Updated to Java 18 with security and stability improvements.
- Multiple transfers on the same TCP port, remembering the last successful port. Makes transfers more robust on restricted networks with few open outward ports.
- Show password while typing.
- Edit settings for a web delivery – password, expiry date and download count.
- Lock file support, effectively preventing multiple running instances of accsyn.
- Progress is now shown with one extra decimal.
