About

Nonstop Entertainment based in Stockholm is Sweden’s largest film distribution company, dealing with a title library spanning many different genres and target audiences.

Initial pain points

Was lacking an affordable file delivery solution that provided fast, secure and resumable transfer of masters, DCPs and VOD content.
All media were stored on a NAS solution hosted by the lab provider, with very limited ability for operators to access and work with their titles.
Relying solely on a file structure is prone to errors and makes it hard to organise and search for specific assets.
Had to incorporate an expensive third party MAM software to be able to send streaming links to their clients, forced to use a duck tape solution.
Needed easy file sharing abilities with content providers and lab vendors during post production, mastering and Q/C.

A fresh new start with accsyn

Here is how Nonstop operators utilise accsyn in their day-to-day work when working with new titles:

Creates the title in the Media Vault, either linked to a global IMDb title or local title.
Requests upload of raw masters/DCPs, subtitles and sales material using either File Sharing or Delivery.
Lab service providers access the title with File Sharing & Media Vault; Produces delivery assets, Q/C, (VOD) transcode and ingest.
Creates web streaming link to customers as part of the sales process.
Distributing final master assets to cinemas, festivals and streaming services using Delivery.

Summary

With masters properly logged having metadata and proxies, Nonstop operators are now in the driving seat – with all media and functionality present within a single UI.
